Acting
As an actor, I am drawn to stories that center women in complex and challenging ways. I have been lucky enough to portray many characters that occupy a fascinating moral grey area, such as Jack Merridew in Lord of the Flies, Sofia in Dance Nation, and Julie in Vape Lord at the Samuel French OOB Festival. I feel most at home with works of dark comedy- Claire Barron, Annie Baker, and Jenn Silverman are playwrights whose texts I always jump at the chance to work with. I also have a passion for reimagining classic works of theater- the works of Anton Chekhov and William Shakespeare are touchstones for me in my work as an actor.

Little Katie
I wanted to take a moment to focus on my true passion project, what I believe to be the best representation of me as an artist- my solo show, Little Katie. Little Katie is a theatre piece? It’s a stand-up comedy piece? It’s performance art? It’s fun! It’s a children’s show-style exploration of what it means to have a feeling featuring my mini-me, my little monster, the titular Little Katie. It was performed for the first time as a workshop in the spring of 2024 at Emerson College with Mercutio Troupe. I gained immense clarity as to what this show could be during this workshop and hope to perform it again soon with the changes I have made since. The development of this piece has been the most rewarding experience of my career so far and I cannot wait to see where it goes next. I’d love to show Little Katie Edinburgh. I think she’d love The Fringe. She is really passionate about new work. She’s also made of felt.
